Dog sledding Bodø/Valnesfjord

We are a small family driven kennel that offers guided tours dog sledding in Valnesfjord, close to Bodø and Fauske. Our dogs are greenland dogs and siberian huskies, and they are very happy to run and friendly to people.

We only guide small groups for the intimate and personal experience. We can book bigger groups on request if we have the capacity.

Inbetween dog sledding season you can come for a kennel visit and hikes.

Summer activities? We always hike, send us an e-mail if you want to join us or visit our kennel. Did you know our dogs can carry backpacks?

OUR FURRY FRIENDS

Did you know? All our dogs are bred to run and pull. They are born to become sled dogs, and are high energy dogs that need way more activity than a human can give them just by walking them. They need to work to be happy. Polar dogs are bred to survive cold and extreme weather. They've got two layers of fur, where one of them is wool. They live outside all year, and each of them have their own little dog house to snuggle up. Although they almost never use their houses, as they love sleeping in the snow on the roof of the dog houses.

All our dogs have their special personality and qualities. We can separate their barking from one anothers. We know them so well, and we take them on one-to-one hikes and acitivites to bond. Dog welfare is our biggest goal in everything we do.  We always make sure every dog's need is met. In the winter that means a lot of time dog sledding, but also having enough rest, quality food, endless love and cuddles, solo hikes, play time and paying attention to each dog's health.
